YRU@BMR Youth Research Ambassador Program: Omnibus Online Questionnaire

The Youth Research Unit of the Bureau of Market Research (Pty) Ltd (YRU@BMR) at the University of South Africa (UNISA) is conducting an online research study to explore psychosocial issues impacting the wellbeing of young people in South Africa.  These issues include substance abuse, online sexual exploitation (through exposure to inappropriate online content), and cyberbullying.

By collecting research information about these important issues, we can gain valuable information that can inform policy formulation and the development of support services aimed at young people in South Africa.

You have been invited to participate in this research study, by completing an online questionnaire about your experiences and sharing your opinions.

The online survey consists of 3 sections dealing with questions about substance abuse, online sexual exploitation, and cyberbullying.  We understand that these are private and sensitive issues, but it’s important that we hear your voice.

To ensure that the research is conducted in a responsible way, this study has received ethical approval by the Bureau of Market Research (Pty) Ltd, Research Ethics Review Committee (RERC) at the University of South Africa, ensuring the highest ethical standards and adhering to strict research ethical guidelines.   The BMR is a member of the South African Market Research Association (SAMRA) and is bound by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) which promotes the protection of personal information.

Before you participate in this survey, you need to agree to participate.  Please read the following information carefully.
